Urgent Message for all SBSC Members
It seems we have entered new territory with regards to the COVID-19 virus. There is only one way to beat this and we have all been advised repeatedly to practice Social Distancing and to avoid any gathering of people. The board of SBSC has made the decision to close access to the clubhouse until such time as the crisis has passed. The combinations on the exterior locks have been changed effective March 24. There is no greater concern to the board than the safety of our members and guests.
We cannot guarantee a healthy environment in the club without constant disinfecting of every surface.
Docks in and other events involving contact with others are also postponed until further notice.
I very much regret having to take these extreme measures at this time, but this crisis has impacted everyone’s lives in a way that we could not have imagined 90 days ago. Let’s hope that this situation passes, and we will be allowed to return to participating in all the things that until recently we took for granted.
I will continue to keep everyone updated as best as I can. All I ask is that everyone stay safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. Please watch for updates and relevant news on the club web site or emails like this.

Our Cottage in the City
Scarborough Bluffs Sailing Club caters to sailboats, powerboats and paddlecraft. We have an excellent clubhouse with a southern exposure, sundeck, full kitchen facilities, barbecues and washrooms with showers. We are located on an island in the Bluffers Park basin with the scenic Cathedral Bluffs as a backdrop. We are a self-help club and our boats are stored on trailers and racks, not in the water all summer. This saves us the expense of in-water slips and is one of the reasons our fees are the lowest you will find. Our masts can stay up while the boats are on the trailer and ready to go.
Boat parking fees cover the whole year.
