SBSC is one of the best kept secrets in the city. Our club is located in Bluffer's Park, at the foot of Brimley Road in Scarborough, right on Lake Ontario. We have a lovely two-story clubhouse adjacent to our harbour and docks with the scenic Cathedral Bluffs as a backdrop.

CANSail 1&2:
No experience necessary!

Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00pm – 9:00pm classes
Session A: May 18, 2026 – June 24, 2026
Session C: June 29, 2026 – August 5, 2026

Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00pm – 9:00pm classes
Session B: May 19, 2026 – June 25, 2026
Session D: June 30, 2026 – August 6, 2026

CANSail 3&4:
For more experienced sailors, we only run this course on demand. Send our Sailing School Director an email at school@sailingclub.on.ca if you're interested and have your CANSail 2 certification or equivalent experience already.

Sailing School

Upon graduation you can, for a nominal fee, join as a trial-member for the remainder of the membership year. You therefore have the opportunity to hone your newly learned skills using our club dinghies. During this time you will have full use of the club facilities.

Come and visit us. You may find this is the perfect club for you and your family.

How To Join

To apply for an SBSC membership, you may send an email to membership@sailingclub.on.ca or phone (416) 264-2692 and leave a voice message with your contact information.

A membership person will talk initially about your boat size if you have one and send you an appropriate application for the membership level that fits, with pricing included.

If you have a boat on a trailer, keep in mind these maximum restrictions:

Maximum boat size: 8'2" width boat and trailer, 28' long boat and trailer.

All Personal Water Craft (PWC) such as Jet Ski, Sea Doo, WaveRunner, or similar craft, are prohibited from being on our Club premises, including the harbour, ramp and docks.
